We deliver it ourselves and, for tiered cakes, assemble it on site rather than moving it built.

Heat softens buttercream, sun fades bright colours faster than people expect, and a cake carried any distance over grass needs proper support underneath it rather than a thin board. For anything outdoors we would suggest a firmer finish, colours that are rich rather than neon, and a base board with a decent margin so it can be picked up without a thumb going into the side. Keep the cake in its box and in the shade until the moment it is needed, not on the table from the start. If there is a table at all. A fair number of picnic parties do not have one, and a cake with a wide flat base sits far better on a rug than a tall tiered one. Tell us it is a picnic and we will build accordingly.

Yes. We make vegan and gluten free cakes with the same designs and finishes as everything else, usually with a small supplement. Everything is baked in a kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, wheat, dairy and egg, so we label clearly but cannot promise an item is free from all traces.
